Client projects
There are many programs which support monitoring UPS hardware via NUT.
These links lead offsite. If you know of a project which should be

The "nut" module monitors uninterruptable power supplies under control of
the NUT (Network UPS Tools) free software suite. It sends alerts on power
breakages, overload and battery problems. The longterm graphing may point
you to battery aging problems.
There are three different scripts to add NUT support to Cacti:
collectd 4.0.0 features a NUT plugin to collect statistics from UPSes.
